Man charged after crashing into NSW home

A man accused of crashing his car into a house on the NSW Central Coast has been charged with high-range drink driving and drug possession.

On arriving at the crash scene on Warrigal Street, The Entrance, at about 7.55pm (AEDT) on Wednesday, police found a Holden Commodore had crashed through a fence and into the front room of a house.

No one was hurt in the smash, police said.

The driver, who allegedly ran from the scene, was arrested a short time later.

Police said the man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.160 and was charged with high-range drink driving. He was also charged with drug possession.

The man, 23, was granted bail and will face Wyong Local Court in March.
