Man charged after ATM found in river

A man has been charged after an ATM was recovered from the Tweed River in the northern rivers region of NSW.

Police will allege that three ATMs containing cash were stolen along with property, totalling more than $100,000.

A 49-year-old man was arrested after one of the stolen ATMs was recovered from the Tweed River.

He was charged with break, enter and steal and disposing of stolen property, and is due to appear in Lismore Local Court on Tuesday, June 6.
