Man assaulted in Sydney home invasion

A man has been assaulted during an early morning home invasion in Sydney's west.
The 39-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman and two 16-year-olds were in the Blacktown home when two men with a gun forced their way inside just after 2am on Wednesday.
The intruders took the man and woman into a separate room and demanded cash before striking the man across the head with a metal object and running off.
