Man arrested over alleged stabbing

NSW police have followed a trail of blood from their Wollongong station to a unit block, where a man was allegedly stabbed with a machete during an argument.

The dispute happened on Friday morning between two men, 38 and 47.

The older man, who was stabbed in the right hand, went to the police station before being taken to Wollongong Hospital.

Police followed the blood trail he left and arrested the younger man, who is expected to be charged.
