Police searching for weapon used in Sydney double stabbing

A double stabbing in Sydney’s west has left police searching for the attacker, and the weapon used in the incident.

Emergency crews were called to a home in Lalor Park just before 5 o’clock on Thursday afternoon.

There, they found a man and a woman, both aged in their 40s ,with stab wounds.

They were taken to Westmead Hospital, where the man remains in a stable condition.

The woman was released later that evening.

Police said they are searching for a third person who they believe is involved, as well as the knife used in incident.

Neighbours told The Daily Telegraph there were people coming and going from the house all day.

“That’s a troubled house that’s for sure,” a neighbour told the paper.

“There are constantly people coming and going.”
