A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing his cousin in the leg in Sydney's south.

Police say that at about 6.15pm on Monday a 25-year-old man was visiting his 38-year-old cousin in Peakhurst when they began arguing and the older man stabbed the younger man.

The victim managed to walk to a nearby street where a witness provided first aid and contacted emergency services.
