Man accused of abusing 13yo at Sydney pool

A man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage boy in the change rooms of a Sydney swimming pool will remain in custody.

Robert Edward Murray, 67, did not apply for bail when he came before Burwood Local Court on Friday charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and inciting a person to commit an act of indecency.

It came more than three weeks after Murray allegedly abused a 13-year-old boy in the change rooms of the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre on October 1.

Police say it was reported to them on October 12.

Murray was arrested at the aquatic centre on Thursday.

His matter is due to return to court on November 11.
