Girl 'pushed to ground and sexually touched' by BMX-riding youths

A New South Wales girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted after a group of BMX riding youths pushed her to the ground while she walked along a road in Maitland.
The 13-year-old girl claims a group of up to six males followed her on Thomas Coke Drive, Thornton, north west of Newcastle about 4.45pm on July 4.
She alleged the males, believed to be in their late teens, then pushed her to the ground before one sexually touched her.
The girl has described the teens as wearing baggy jeans and riding BMX push bikes.
Police believe a man walking his dog near the Alan & Don Lawrence oval may have witnessed the incident.
He is described as having olive complexion, aged between 40 and 50, with dark hair and a long well-kept beard. He was walking a brown Border Collie cross German Sheppard.
Officers are appealing for any other witnesses to come forward.
