Students at Leeton High School will return to campus for the first time since much-loved teacher Stephanie Scott was found dead.

As students brace themselves for the first day on Tuesday, the school in NSW's central west has reached out with words of comfort.

"Rest assured, if you stumble or fall, you will do so into the safe hands of many who care about you," Leeton High School posted on Facebook ahead of the students' return. "At other times, your hands could be needed and we know you will be there."

It has been about two weeks since English and drama teacher Ms Scott was killed and her body dumped allegedly by school cleaner Vincent Stanford just days before her long-awaited wedding.

Ms Scott will be farewelled at a funeral in Eugowra - where she was meant to get married - on Wednesday.
