UPDATE: Learner driver and mother killed in country NSW crash named

A learner driver and her mother killed in a two-car crash in NSW's central west have been named by police.

Sevanah Lang, a 16-year-old L-plater, was driving a Ford Laser with her 39-year-old mother Kelly Landers in the passenger seat at Molong, near Orange, last night.

Their car collided with another vehicle, a Subaru Outback carrying a woman, a one-year-old and a newborn baby.

Lang and her mother were killed in the horror crash.

Family and friends remembered the mother and daughter on social media today.

“Such a waste. Far too sad and just heartbreaking,” Amanda Eassie posted on Facebook.

Mirsada Halep similarly wrote of her grief.

“[I’m] absolutely shocked and lost for words, I can’t even fathom this to be real,” she wrote.

Friends also took to Lang’s Instagram account to mourn her death.

“Rest in peace beautiful. Only the good die young,” Taylor Nasmith wrote.

The other woman and children were not injured.

Inspector Dave Harvey said the accident occurred at the intersection of Shades Creek Road and Euchareena Road at 5pm last night.

"As a result, two people are deceased," he said.

"Police are currently investigating."

The cars involved in the accident have seized both cars as part of the investigation.
