Jury retires in NSW body-in-boot trial

A Sydney jury has begun its deliberations at the trial of a man accused of murdering a friend whose partially decomposed remains were found in his car boot.

The issue for the jurors is whether ice-user Zhen Fang, 38, was suffering a substantial impairment of the mind when he repeatedly stabbed Ting Huang whose body was found on September 21, 2014.

The NSW Supreme Court jurors, who retired on Tuesday afternoon, were told a dazed and confused Fang went to police 10 days before the body was found saying he had killed someone, but said he could not remember when or where.
