Hunt for Sydney disabled man's attacker

Police have released images of a man who allegedly assaulted and robbed a disabled person in southern Sydney.

A 23-year-old man with an intellectual disability arrived at Bexley North Station on Wednesday morning, where he was allegedly followed off the train and assaulted.

His attacker forced him into a lane near Bexley Road, pushed him to the ground and rifled through his wallet.

When the 23-year-old then managed to break free, he ran into a nearby pharmacy, where the man attempted to drag him back outside, but staff members intervened.

He was left shaken but not physically harmed.

Police have released CCTV footage and stills of a man they believe could assist in inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his mid-20s, of medium build and with short dark hair and a moustache.
