Human bones found on remote NSW riverbank

Human bones have been found on the bank of a small river in northern NSW.

The skeletal remains were found next to the Mehi River in Moree about 11am on Tuesday.

A crime scene has been established, police officers are searching the area and the bones have been sent for forensic examination.
