Aussie actor Hugh Jackman has been caught up in a shark scare at Sydney’s Bondi Beach this morning.

The 48-year-old X-Men star was seen leaving the beach with a fellow swimmer earlier today as the shark alarm sounded about 8am.

No injuries have been reported.

It is not the first time the actor has been caught up in an incident at Bondi.

In March, Jackman was forced to dive into the water to save his 15-year-old son Oscar who had become caught in a rip. He also assisted other swimmers to safety.

Jackman later told 9NEWS the rescue "wasn't as dramatic as it looked or sounded".

Swimmer Peter Adam lent a hand, grabbing Jackman's daughter, Ava and then linking hands with the actor to pull her to safety.

"His daughter was struggling to get on to the sand bar so I reached down, grabbed her arm and put my arm up to Hugh to make a chain to pull us up on the sand bar," Mr Adam said.

"That's what you do with any family out there."

Personal trainer Dan Conn also jumped in to help when Oscar got pulled back out into the water.

Mr Conn said Jackman was "definitely a bit of a superdad, a superhero, and he's a super bloke too."
