Hoverboarders urged to charge with care
AAP
Hoverboard owners are being urged to charge with caution after a faulty model exploded and burned down a Victorian home.
The NSW government has warned self-balancing scooter riders to only use chargers that came with their product, and never leave the toys charging unattended.
"Devices can overheat if they are overcharged and non-compliant devices may ignite if over-charged," Innovation Minister Victor Dominello said on Wednesday.
