'Detonators' discovered in Blue Mountains bomb scare

Police have evacuated homes in the Blue Mountains, NSW, after an explosives scare. (9NEWS) 9NEWS
The bomb squad has been called in to a home in the Blue Mountains after the discovery of what appears to be a box of old detonators.
Police have confirmed an operation is underway in Walmer Crescent at Wentworth Falls and specialist officers are assisting local police.

Some houses in the area are being evacuated but a police spokeswoman would not earlier confirm reports explosives had been located in the area.
