House on fire three times in a single day

Firefighters in Sydney's west have had to put out three fires in the same house in a single day.

Firefighters were first called to the Guildford property earmarked for demolition at 2pm on Sunday to put out a fire in the backyard, before returning at 7pm when a fire burned within the house, and then at about 10.30pm to extinguish a blaze that had spread to the home next door.

Police are investigating and believe the fires were deliberately lit.
