Police continue to probe Central Coast crash that left young boy orphaned

NSW police investigators are examining the possibility a Central Coast crash that killed three members of a Sydney family and left a seven-year-old boy fighting for his life could have been deliberate.

Darren and Susana Milne were driving to the Central Coast from their home in Ryde yesterday with their two sons when their car smashed into a tree.

The parents and their eldest son, Liam, 11, were killed.

The younger son, aged seven, has been left as the only survivor and is still recovering from his extensive injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash and have reportedly discovered the vehicle left the road at speed and without leaving skid marks.

Investigators are now reportedly looking into a range of options, including the possibility Milne deliberately failed to brake.

Police carried out a search warrant at the family’s Ryde home today, seizing documents and computers.

Inspector Phillip Brooks said the matter remained “under investigation”.

Police are trying desperately to contact Mrs Milne’s family in Mexico.
