House fire extinguished across road from school in Sydney’s west

Firefighters have quenched a blazing house that was burning across the road from a school in Sydney's west.

A number of engines were deployed to the fire in Riverstone, with reports the house was initially well alight.

Firefighters have determined nobody is home and the blaze has been nearly extinguished.

The school across the road was unaffected by the fire.
