Gunman escapes after Newcastle hold up

A gunman is on run after robbing a post office in Newcastle.
Armed with a shortened gun, the man who is described as 20-30 years old, tall and of Asian appearance, held up a post office at Broadmeadow at around lunchtime, police said.
He got away with a small amount of cash and fled on foot.
