Girl calls 000 after mum assaulted in NSW
AAP
A brave 10-year-old girl has called triple-zero after two balaclava-clad men armed with a metal pole allegedly forced their way into her Sydney home and assaulted her mother.
The 42-year-old woman was pushed over by the men when she went to investigate a noise at the front door of the Riverwood unit about 10pm on Thursday, police say.
The mother was taken to Bankstown Hospital with minor injuries after being punched "several times in the head" by one of the intruders, who then fled the scene with his accomplice.
