A five-year-old girl critically injured more than a week ago after she and her younger brother fell from an apartment window in Sydney's west is in a stable condition.

The girl and her three-year-old sibling tumbled from the third-storey apartment and onto the concrete pavement in Bankstown on the Sunday morning of February 12.

Footage from the scene showed a window with a torn fly screen next to the top of a bunk bed in the apartment.

The young girl reportedly fell first and the boy on top of her.

She suffered life-threatening injuries and has been in a critical condition for at least a week, but her condition is now listed as stable, a Westmead Children's Hospital spokeswoman told AAP on Tuesday.

The boy received minor injuries and was in a stable condition in the same hospital but has since been released.
