Four in hospital after car crashes into northern NSW home

A sleeping resident has made a lucky escape after a car crashed through the front of his home in NSW’s north-east.

Shortly before 7am today, after a white Ford Falcon left Rous Road in Goonellabah, flipped into a front yard and hit a parked car, which was then pushed through the front of a home.

A man sleeping in the garage at the house narrowly avoided serious injury when the parked car ploughed through the garage door.

The crash caused significant structural damage to the home.

Two women and one man were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital.

A second man allegedly fled the scene before authorities arrived.

He later surrendered himself at the hospital where he is now being treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

All four people are believed to be in their 20s and 30s.
