Three former teachers at Knox Grammar School accused of abusing boys will give evidence at a royal commission on Wednesday.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is in the third day of an inquiry into how the Uniting Church and the exclusive Sydney boys school handled allegations that teachers were assaulting children.

The inquiry has heard that young high school students were shown pornography, given alcohol and groomed for sex by a number of teachers at the school.

The offences happened in the 1970s and `80s, although one of the teachers - Craig Treloar - was still working at the school when he was arrested in 2009.

Treolar is one of those expected to give evidence on Wednesday.
