AAP
A Sydney man accused of travelling to a forbidden Middle Eastern war zone remains behind bars as prosecutors request more time to prepare their case.
Belal Betka, 25, was charged with terrorism offences for travelling to Syria in March 2015 and did not appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday as Commonwealth DPP prosecutor Carmelo Ragusa requested more time to prepare his brief.
Mr Ragusa said prosecutors needed to study transcripts of phone conversations and listening devices and the case is due back in court on April 10.
