Opposition leader Luke Foley to deliver NSW budget reply

NSW Opposition Leader Luke Foley will offer an alternative vision for the state's bottom line and spending priorities when he hands down his official budget reply.

NSW Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian's surplus-boosting NSW budget got short shift from Mr Foley, who called it a "lazy" and "short-sighted" effort that tied the state's fortunes too closely to the volatile Sydney property market.

On Thursday morning he will outline his alternative budget to parliament, with plans reportedly set to include a proposal to shut down Bankstown Airport to free up hundreds of hectares of land.
