Fifth man charged over west Sydney brawl

A fifth man has been charged over a massive brawl at a western Sydney train station which allegedly involved about 100 people.

Police descended on Mount Druitt station at about 7.20pm on April 7 following reports two huge groups of people were fighting.

Officers dispersed the 100-strong crowd and seized items including a Molotov cocktail, knife and golf club after combing the local area.

Police say a 54-year-old woman suffered head and neck injuries during the incident.

On Monday, a 19-year-old man was arrested at his Mount Druitt home and charged with rioting.

He has been granted strict conditional bail to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court on May 12.

Four other young men have earlier been charged over the brawl.
