Fake NSW policeman pulls over drivers

A man impersonating a police officer has pulled over two drivers in Sydney, breath testing them and then stealing their driver's licences.

A 32-year-old man was pulled over by a white Holden Commodore with a blue light flashing on the dash late on Saturday night in Bringelly.

He was shown what is believed to be a fake police badge and asked to undertake a roadside breath test using an alcolizer.

The fake policeman then took his licence after telling him it had been suspended.

The second incident happened a few hours later early on Sunday, when a 49-year-old woman was pulled over at Cecil Hills by a white sedan with a blue light flashing on the top of the car.

After claiming to be a detective, the man breath tested her, then took her licence, saying it had been disqualified.

Both driver's contacted police soon after the incidents, suspecting the man's actions were suspicious.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, aged in his 30s and with short brown hair.
