Extradited man from Qld on attempt murder

A man has been extradited from Queensland to face an attempted murder charge in relation to a shooting in Sydney's west last month.

A 26-year-old man underwent surgery on his spine, lung and spleen after being shot in the neck at Mount Druitt on the evening of March 17.

Police identified a 29-year-old man as a person of interest and a search warrant was issued for his arrest.

Queensland police arrested a man in Greenbank on Friday and he was extradited to NSW.

The man was refused bail, and is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday on charges including shooting with intent to murder.
