Explosion at NSW power station injures man

A worker has burns to his hands and arms following a transformer explosion at a power station near Newcastle.
Emergency crews were sent to Liddell Power Station following reports of the explosion at around 3pm on Thursday.
The man was taken to Singleton District Hospital in a stable condition and a police spokeswoman says WorkCover is investigating the incident.
