Elderly woman critical after scooter fall

An elderly woman who fell and hit her head while riding a child's scooter in Sydney's northwest is fighting for life.

The 68-year-old women was treated by paramedics at Kellyville around 10pm on Saturday and taken to Westmead hospital in a serious condition.

Police say she was not wearing a helmet.

A hospital spokeswoman told AAP on Sunday the women is now in a critical condition.
