Elderly Sydney man struck by car, critical

An elderly man is in a critical condition after being struck by a car in Sydney's north.

The 83-year-old was treated for head injuries after the incident at St Ives about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
