Elderly NSW pedestrian fighting for life

An 85-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after a car crashed into him in Sydney's inner west.
The elderly man was hit at a busy Parramatta Road intersection in Strathfield on Wednesday and remains in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition, police said.
The driver of the vehicle is being questioned after being taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
