Elderly man's alleged killer in NSW court

The man accused of murdering an 87-year-old man in a domestic violence incident in Sydney's west, has not applied for bail.

Steve Bojnovic, 39, made a brief appearance via audio-visual link in Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday when bail was formally refused.

His only statement to the court was "yes" when confirming his name to magistrate George Zdenkowski.

Bojnovic was arrested on Friday morning at the scene of the alleged murder on Memorial Avenue, Liverpool.

A police statement described the alleged incident as "domestic violence-related".

Bojnovic is due to next appear on Wednesday at Campbelltown Local Court by audio-visual link.
