Two-year-old allegedly unrestrained in car as 'drunk' Sydney mum hits fence

A woman has been charged with drink driving after she crashed into a fence in Sydney's southwest while her two-year-old daughter was in front seat vehicle.

Police were called to Heckenberg about 9.30pm on Tuesday and stopped the white ute, which was still moving after it crashed.

Officers saw a two-year-old girl standing unrestrained on the front passenger seat.

The 43-year-old driver was breath tested and allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.121 - more than twice the legal limit.

She will face Liverpool Local Court on July 10 charged with mid-range drink driving, having an unrestrained child and driving with a passenger under four in the front of a vehicle.

NSW Police notified the Department of Family and Community Services and the toddler was placed in her grandmother's care.
