Dog bites Sydney teen on face, torso

A dog has mauled a teenage girl in the face and torso at a home in Sydney's northwest.

The dog, described as "similar to a Rottweiler", bit the 15-year-old several times just after 1pm on Wednesday at a house in Bligh Park, police say.

The teenager has been taken to Nepean Hospital in a stable condition while local council rangers decide what to do with the dog.
