Cranbrook school offers support to student

The headmaster of an exclusive eastern suburbs Sydney boys' school has contacted parents after a student was accused of raping a teenage girl as the attack was filmed.

Two 15-year-old boys have been charged after the incident earlier this month when an intoxicated 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped at a house party.

One boy, who attended Cranbrook School in Bellevue Hill, was charged by police on Tuesday with aggravated sexual assault and will appear at a children's court on April 4.

The other boy, who reportedly attended a Rose Bay school, has been charged with filming and disseminating child abuse material.

He faced a children's court on Monday and will next appeark in May.

Cranbrook headmaster Nicholas Sampson on Tuesday emailed the parents of students offering support to their sons.

"This incident did not occur on school grounds," Mr Sampson wrote in the email cited by Fairfax Media.

"Should you feel your son requires support, please make contact with the school. We will continue, as always, to support our staff and students. This remains at the heart of what we do."
