Charity tin thief caught on camera in Sydney's south

Police have appealed to the public to help them identify a man caught on camera stealing charity tins from a supermarket in Sydney’s south.

The man is reported to have entered the store on Wollongong Road in Arncliffe on Saturday at about 3.30pm.

Police claim he took four charity money boxes before fleeing the scene.

They believe the crime might be linked to a number of similar incidents in the area.

The alleged thief has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, with dark-brown hair, brown eyes.

Police said has a tattoo down the right side of his right calf.

Images of the man show him wearing a beige shirt with a light-brown horizontal stripe, dark-coloured shorts, thongs, and a bag strapped across his body.
