Police release CCTV after homeless man indecently assaulted

Police have released video of a man they believe can assist with an investigation into the indecent assault of a homeless man in Sydney last year.

The 32-year-old homeless man was indecently assaulted while sleeping outside a chapel on Hughes Street, Potts Point on Friday 19 September last year.

The attacker fled when the man awoke during the assault.

The incident was reported to the Kings Cross Detectives who have since been investigating the matter.

CCTV footage and images of a man believed to be able to assist detectives have now been released.

The man, believed to be between 30-40 years old, was seen near the chapel where the homeless man was sleeping at the time of the assault and is described as having tanned skin and shoulder length dark hair.

He was wearing a blue polo shirt and blue jeans, and carrying a small, dark carry-bag.
