Carer charged with assaulting disabled boy

A carer has been charged with threatening and abusing a severely disabled nine-year-old boy in the NSW Illawarra region.
The 34-year-old assaulted, verbally abused and threatened to harm the non-verbal child at a care facility last month, police will allege.
The man, who no longer works at the facility, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and stripped of his working with children clearance.

He has been granted strict conditional bail to face Wollongong Local Court in January.
