Three in hospital after Sydney cafe crash

Three women are being treated in hospital after a car careered into a cafe in Sydney's south.

The accident on Tuffy Road, Sans Souci, at lunchtime on Tuesday sent customers scrambling for safety.

The crash is believed to have involved an L-plate driver whose vehicle collided with another car before one ricocheted into the cafe.

Three female occupants of the cars were taken to St George Hospital with head injuries and were said to be in a stable condition.

Eight other people were also treated at the scene by paramedics.

The building also received minor structural damage.
