Bushfire burning in NSW Blue Mountains

An out-of-control bushfire is burning near Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney.

The NSW Rural Fire Service on Wednesday issued a watch-and-act alert for the blaze, which has already burned through two hectares.

Ground crews and aircraft are working to contain the fire, which is burning between Mount Blackheath Road and Kanimbla Drive and moving in an easterly direction.
