Burnout hoon accused of hitting woman to face Sydney court

A Sydney teen accused of hitting and injured a woman with a car while doing burnouts in celebration of Iraq's Asian Cup win is to face court on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old's alleged dangerous driving in a Fairfield car park on Monday night led to the 60-year-old woman being hit, fracturing her pelvis.

She remains in Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

The teen turned himself in to police at Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon and was later charged with several offences including dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

Police have also suspended the man's licence and confiscated his vehicle for three months.

He was denied police bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court.
