Family mourns for six-year-old who drowned

The grieving aunt of a six-year-old boy who drowned in a backyard pool in Sydney's southwest has posted heartfelt tributes to her nephew.

Devante Faumuina was pulled unconscious from the pool in Spitfire Drive, Raby just before 5.30pm on Sunday.

He was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead but couldn't be revived.

"My handsome nephew..." Maliah Faumuina posted on Facebook, "Aunty loved you so much please know that".

"Oh God I miss you soooooooo much".
