Boy charged for hurting cop after crash

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with assaulting a Sydney police officer after allegedly fleeing from the scene of an overnight car crash.
A sergeant was admitted to hospital with facial injuries and concussion after pursuing four young men who fled a crash in Sydney's east about 4am on Friday.
The 16-year-old was charged with assaulting police and resisting arrest, and bailed to appear at Bidura Children's Court next month.

A 17-year-old was also charged with resisting arrest, while two others were released pending further investigation.
