Boy, 13, dies in NSW water skiing crash

A 13-year-old boy has died after a water skiing crash on a lake west of Sydney.

The boy was pulled from Lake Wyangala about 9am on Wednesday by family members, who began CPR.

Police say he was flown from Cowra Airport to The Children's Hospital, Westmead but died about 2.30pm.

Officers spoke to the 45-year-old male driver of the boat. The vessel has been seized for forensic examination.
