A member of the public found the young boy walking along Grose Road, near the bus bay outside Faulconbridge Public School about 8am today.
"Officers from the Blue Mountains Police Area Command are speaking to residents and members of the public in the area; however, haven't located his parents or carers," NSW Police said in a statement earlier today.
