Blue Light disco on tour in regional NSW

Country kids in the state's northwest will get a chance to try their best Nutbush and Macarena moves when the Blue Light dance party trailer goes on tour.

A DJ and six police officers will hit the road in the Blue Light trailer for a 2000km trek leaving Friday to six regional communities during National Youth Week.

"Over the past 10 years, it has proved a very important initiative ... providing safe and fun activities for young people in those rural communities," Youth Command Superintendent David Scrimgeour said in a statement on Wednesday.
