Billionaire mistress faces assault charges

The former mistress of billionaire Richard Pratt will have to face a Magistrate when accusations she assaulted a police officer return to court next month.

Sydney socialite Shari-Lea Hitchcock, 46, was arrested in Woollahra last month and charged with common assault, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

Hitchcock did not appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday but her lawyer Bryan Wrench was granted an adjournment to May 18 to seek expert medical evidence, and was told his client must front court on that date.
