Bashed man turns up at Sydney home

Residents of a home in Sydney's southwest have answered a knock on the front door to find a man covered in blood and suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to the Macquarie Fields home at around 10.30pm on Monday to find the 32-year-old turned slumped in a chair on the front porch.
Police say he was suffering stab wounds to his arm and leg and appeared to have been assaulted with a blunt object.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Police have set up a crime scene at the house and one at another property in Macquarie Fields.
